Music - 8/11/11

Thinking about the music and sound effects that we're going to play in the background of our scenes, me and Laura Jeffreson have come up with some ideas from Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/ - that we like at the moment and are considering using when we edit. We have decided to leave music and sound effects as one of our last things to research into as it's not needed for the actual filming, and can be considered when we get to the editting stages in about 3 weeks time.

This shows that we have both completed the task, and gone away individually and found some different pieces of music we like, and then came back together to talk about them and choose as a group decision.

We thought that all of these pieces of music were appropriate to our genre of horror/thriller, which the music is extremely important to, so we need to focus on what music will produce the right image and effect on the audience that we want. As we are going to be using youtube for our sound effects and music, when we come to a final decision of what we are using, we are going to have to contact the people who's videos and sounds they're and make sure we are able to use them with the respect of the people.

WHY HAVE WE DONE THIS?
Musics one of the most important conventions within a horror/thriller film, so we need to pick just the right background track or sound effects in order to send out the right message and create the right effect on our target audience. We have both completed it individually, and as a group, so that we can share our own views on music and both come to a mutual decision together.
